Morning Bublinka77,

You use a textured rolling pin in exactly the same way as a normal one but roll out your sugarpaste to the required thickness and size, then switch to the textured rolling pin and firmly and surely, do one definite roll to impress the sugarpaste with the design. If it isn't to your satisfaction, you will have to start all over again! It is just one roll (you can't get away with two!) It is all practice, like most things in sugarcraft!

Please let me know how you get on.

Happy Baking

Louise

Hello Louise,

thank you for reply. This is clear for me, but how can I fix the fondant (icing) on the cakethen? When I place my fondant on the cake I always use smoother to smooth the surface perfectly. Is it possible to place fondant on the cake, use smoother to make perfect look and then use textured pin to create any pattern? This is what I would like to know :-) Thank you for reply.
